A 4 th-grade student at Creekside Elementary School, Seattle Vidyut has been passionately immersed in Carnatic music for nearly six years.

His musical journey began under the guidance of Sri. Shiva Kumar Bhat in the San Francisco Bay Area and continued with early lessons from Sri. Subramanian Janardhanan in the Greater Seattle region. For the past four years, Vidyut has been refining his skills under the expert tutelage of Vidushi Amrutha Venkatesh.
Vidyut’s dedication and talent have earned him numerous accolades in prestigious competitions worldwide. He has secured first prizes in esteemed contests such as Shravya by the Sudhaarnava Academy, Sampada by the Silicon Andhra University, the Malaysia International Carnatic Music Festival, and the International Music Premier League. Additionally, he was honored with the Saptami Star Award in Dallas, TX, for his exceptional performances in Manodharma competitions.

Beyond competitions, Vidyut is a passionate ambassador for Carnatic music, regularly performing at temples across the Greater Seattle region. He is also deeply committed to giving back, actively participating in fundraising initiatives and volunteering for charitable causes.

Vidyut’s talents extend beyond Carnatic music; he is an accomplished pianist with a collection of medals to his name. He also excels in basketball, playing a key role in leading his team to two consecutive season titles last year. He did his arangetram in June 2024 accompanied by Vidwans Arjun Ganesh and Rajeev Mukundan. This is his first concert in his birthplace Thiruvananthapuram.
